PANJIM: GFA took one more step towards upgradation of the Duler stadium by laying the foundation stone for new dressing rooms at the hands of Francis D’Souza Minister for Urban Development and Law in the presence of local councillor Franky Carvalho.
GFA President Elvis Gomes while welcoming those present said that it was a long felt need for good dressing rooms and finally the need was being met.
He thanked Francis D’Souza for his support to GFA.
Speaking at the gathering of executive committee members and local football enthusiasts, D’souza said that greater thanks should go to the Comunidade of Mapusa who had donated the ground to GFA.
He assured all help in future.
Others present were Bishut, Pango, Jaju, Anthony, Arnold, Schubert, Raju, Andrew, Angelo, Welvin and Francis.
Meanwhile, a match scheduled between GFA members from south and north could not be held as members from north failed to turn up in time.
