PANJIM: Panchayat and Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar inaugurated the Goa Football Development Council’s (GFDC) 24th football development center in Arambol in the presence of GFDC Chairman Dr Rufino Monteiro, recently.
“In Dr Rufino, the government has not only chosen a man with foresight about football but a man with great knowledge. Today, the GFDC has done what none have done for our State sport that runs in our blood,” elaborated Parsekar.
Dr Rufino informed, “GFDC is not only looking at churning footballers but people willing to learn things like coaching, refereeing and even football administration,” in the years to come.” As trainees, be determined to be great players by attending the coaching regularly,” he advised the trainees.
Around 100 traineers were present on the occasion at Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School ground.
