While the Goa boys defeated Jammu & Kashmir by 2 wickets in the final, the girls team also beat Jammu & Kashmir by 14 runs.
In the boys final, batting first, J&K managed to score just 45 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted eight overs. Akshay (13/3) and Sanat (11/1) were the pick of Goan bowlers.
J&K bowled well as they took the match in the final over, as Goa reached the target with just one ball to spare with two wickets in hand.
Earlier in the semi-final, Goa defeated UP by six wickets. Bowling first, Goa restricted UP to 45 in the allotted eight overs and chased down the target in 6.5 overs. Niket was the top scorer for Goa.
In the girls final, electing to bat first, Goa set up a target of 75 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted eight overs. Sonali (37) and Mahima (18) were the top scorers for Goa. Chasing a modest target, J&K managed to scored 63 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Krupa and Sonali took two wickets each for Goa.
The winners were awarded trophies, medals and mementos at the farewell function held at New Police line ground, Karnal.
