PANJIM: The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services in association with Panjim Cycling Club organised the 2nd edition of 20 km & 40 km Goa Fire Cyclothon at Fire Force Regional Training Centre ground, on Sunday.
The Cyclothon in the state was organised to ‘Pay Homage to Firemen Martyrs’ of the country.
Over 215 cyclists participated in the second edition of the annual cycling event. Along with participation from the male, female, working professionals and housewives, this year’s participation also saw school and college students, both in groups and with their parents.
Devidas Pangam, Advocate General, Goa Government flagged off the event in presence of Nitin V. Raiker, Director, Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services and other officials
All the participants were awarded with finisher medals and awards were presented to the youngest & golden ager participants.
