PANJIM: Goa thrashed Punjab 5-1 in the National under-14 football tournament underway at Kalyani, West Bengal, Thursday.
Borris De Mello scored a brace while Nehal Shinde, Rajat Harijan, and Aaron Alvares scored one each.
The Goa team has to beat Maharashtra on Friday to qualify for a semi-final berth since Maharashtra drew 0-0 with Manipur on Thursday and defeated Punjab on Wednesday.
