PANJIM: Goa and Uttar Pradesh (UP) settled for a draw in the first match of Cooch Behar Trophy, on day four, at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Tuesday.
Goa won the toss and elected to bat, posting 335 in 115 overs. Ishan Gadekar top scored with 93 of 121 balls while Lakshay Garg contributed a vital 83 runs of 162 balls.
UP’s response was strong as they declared 487/8 in 141.4 overs, taking a 152 run lead.
Goa were all out fro 183, in 101.5 overs in the second innings.
Up needed 32 runs in three overs for a victory but could fell short by six runs, losing three wickets to settle for a draw.
