ASSONORA: Goan FC ran riot over Goa Velha Sports Club with a 11-1 win in the Goa Football Association U-16 League match played at Assonora ground, on Sunday.
Joshua Afonso, Jovial Dias and Reves Cruz scored a hat-trick each for the winning side.
The young Gaurs gave no time to settle for the Goa Velha SC youngsters as they opened their scoring in the sixth minute through Reves Cruz.
The strikers took turns in scoring as the second was slotted home by Joshua before Jovial made it 3-0. The young Gaurs conceded a goal against a run of play in the 18th minute through Sameer Khaji.
However, there was no chance for a comeback as Goan FC gave no room for their opponents to take command in the game. Then it was Joshua who made it 4-0 before Jovial made it 5-0.
Reves added another just after the break to make it 6-0. Versly Paes scored a brace before all the three players completed their hat-tricks in the one-sided affair.
