FATORDA: FC Goa coach Sergio Lobera accepted that the match against NorthEast United was a difficult one but was also satisfied with the players’ performance and was happy with the team topping the table.
“Today’s match against NorthEast United was a difficult one as they played very well. It was difficult for us to find spaces but finally for us today was to get three points and to top the league table,” said Sergio.
“We had a lot of chances before the own goal by Komorski but were unlucky as we missed. Now I am thinking about the next match against ATK which is very important for us,” he said.
Speaking about NEUFC performance, Sergio said that the visitors were missing some important players. Asamoah Gyan is the most important player and I spoke with my players before the game whether he was playing or not. We had good timing but it was difficult to find the space.”
The Gaurs face ATK in their next match on January 18. “It is a very strong team with good players but I believe in my players and my team. We have 10 days to prepare ourselves,” Sergio concluded.
