SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Holy Cross Boyz, Menezesbhat defeated Benabhat Boyz 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the 15th Sao Jose de Areal inter-ward football tournament organized by Holy Cross Association, Mugalli at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Area, on Tuesday.
Levy D’Silva drew the first blood for Holy Cross Boyz in the 10th minute with his rasping drive off connect by Aliston Camotio.
Soon in the 15th minute, Lapito Gomes header missed the nets of Holy Cross Boys off a cross by Martin Gomes.
Crossing over, Martin levelled for Benabhat Boyz in the 56th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Holy Cross Boyz netted through Aliston Camotio, Vinod Kumar and Adish Fernandes while Benabhat Boyz scored through Martin Gomes and Lapito Gomes.
