FATORDA: Holy Spirit Institute, Margao, The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal and OL of Carmel HS of Curtorim moved ahead in the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka girls football tournament organised by DSYA and played at Astroturf ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
Holy Spirit Institute downed Regina Martyrum School, Assolna 2-0. Bloomy Cardozo and Siya Naik scored a goal each. In the second match, King’s School edged past St Anthony’s HS, Majorda 2-1 via the tie-breaker.
Lakeisha Fernandes solitary goal in the second session helped OL of Carmel HS, Curtorim beat St Xavier’s HS, Velim.
