PANJIM: ICSC Paroda scored a solitary goal victory against Sao Minguel de Taleigao to move into the quarter-finals of Cavelossim Panchayat Cup organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim, on Wednesday.
Paroda came close to scoring when Godfrey Rodrigues rattled the crossbar from the edge of the box in the 10th minute. Taleigao had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the second half when Levino Pereira played in Vardan Haldankar, who missed from close range.
In the 51st minute, Socoro Colaco headed in the all-important goal off a corner kick taken by Melvito Fernandes of Paroda.
