PORVORIM, JULY 6 With the BCCI allotting the 3rd ODI between India and Australia on October 24, the GCA president, Dayanand Narvekar has asked the SAG to hand over the Nehru Stadium at Fatorda by July 15.

With the BCCI allotting the 3rd ODI between India and Australia on October 24, the GCA president, Dayanand Narvekar has asked the SAG to hand over the Nehru Stadium at Fatorda by July 15.
Narvekar, addressing a press conference at Porvorim, disclosed that the matter of hosting the match had already been taken up with the SAG.
The GCA will appoint six committees – security, match, media, logistic, medical, ticketing and sponsorship for the smooth conduct of the match.
The GCA will finalize and announce the names of the members of the committees shortly and announce the names on or after July 9.
Narvekar stated that GCA has ordered a full cover for the entire ground to protect it from rains.The cost of the cover will be Rs.10 lakhs.
The GCA has strengthned the managing committee by adding three more members and will be co-opting another three members. With this, the strength will increase to 18.
This year, the GCA has been allotted the under-19 one-day matches (South Zone) which starts from October 20, said Narvekar.
