India have retained the No. 1 position in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings following the annual update, although their lead at the top has been reduced.
The update sees India lose one rating point, dropping from 119 to 118. However, they remain comfortably ahead of second-placed New Zealand, who gained two rating points to move up to 113. As a result, the gap between the two sides has narrowed from eight points to five.

World champions Australia continue to occupy third place with a rating of 103, unchanged from the previous rankings. The annual update brought only one positional change within the top 10, with South Africa climbing to fourth place on 102 points. Pakistan slipped to fifth after dropping behind the Proteas and now sit on 100 points.
Further down the standings, Bangladesh have strengthened their grip on ninth place, extending their advantage over 10th-placed West Indies to 13 rating points.
Outside the top 10, Ireland moved ahead of Zimbabwe to claim 11th position. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates overtook Canada and climbed to 19th place in the rankings.
India’s dominance in white-ball cricket continues beyond the ODI format. The Men in Blue also retained the No. 1 position in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings following last week’s annual update. In Tests, Australia remain the top-ranked men’s side, while they also lead both the Women’s ODI and Women’s T20I rankings.
