PANJIM: Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Rajeev Mehta will arrive in Goa on January 28 along with Mukesh Kumar (GTCC) for a meeting with Government and other officials to discuss matters regarding Goa’s stance and preparedness to host the National Games in March – April.
During the visit, the IOA officials will meet Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Sports Minister Manohar Azgaonkar, Chief Secretary and Sports Secretary. Goa Olympic Association (GOA) and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) officials will accompany them during the visit.
Later in the evening, Shripad Naik, North Goa MP and GOA President, will meet at Banquet Hall, Caculo Mall where IOA and GOA officials will interact with Presidents and Secretaries of State Sports Associations
. Goa Olympic Association has expressed optimism that the outcome of the meeting will be positive and Government will give full backing to the games.
