PANJIM: WIM Ivana Furtado with five points is in the joint top spot alongwith four others after the end of the sixth round in 40th National Women Challengers Chess Championship at Trissur, Kerala.
Ivana drew with G Laysa of Andhra Pradesh in the fifth round and defeated Ashwini U of Tamil Nadu in the sixth round.
Meanwhile, WGM Bhakti Kulkarni and WCM Riya Savant are on four points each. Bhakti drew with Siddhali Shetye of Maharashtra and G Laysa of Andhra Pradesh in the fifth and sixth round respectively.
Riya defeated Bhagya Jayesh of Kerala in the fifth round and drew with Michelle Catharina of Tamil Nadu in the sixth round. Gauri Hadkonkar and Sakshi Naik Gaonkar are on three points each while Aditi Prabhugaonkar and Gunjal Chopdekar are on 2.5 points each. Urvi Bandekar has tallied two points.
