SINQUETIM-NAVELIM: Joe Cookies Veterans, Fulsabhat-Camorlim defeated Bardez Veterans 4-2 via the tie-breaker and moved into the final of the 7th Navelim Veterans football tournament, at Rosary ground, Navelim on Thursday.
In the opening minutes of the game, Joe Cookies dominated the match which saw them create couple of chances in the game.
Augustine Cardozo of Joe Cookies missed chances to score in the 5th and tenth minutes. Though they were creating the chances, their strikers failed to make the best use of the opportunities.
Thereafter, Bardez came close to scoring through Pascoal Pereira, but his shot failed to threaten the keeper.
In the second half, once again the teams restricted to midfield battle in the initial stages and then shifted gears in search of the match-winner. However, despite several attempts the goal eluded both the sides.
There were no score at the end of the regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Joe Cookies netted through Augistine Cardozo, Agnelo Colaco, Emilia Vaz and Luis Cardozo while for Bardez Veterans only
Narendra Gaad and Pascoal Pereira scored.
