PANJIM: Joe Cookies Veterans got the better of Candolim Veterans 3-1 in the third match of St Lawrence church centenary cup veterans tournament organized by St Lawrence church centenary committee, at Agassaim football ground, Agassaim, on Tuesday.
On Monday, Max Veterans defeated Curtorim 1-0 while on the inaugural day, Sunday, Quepem Veterans defeated Navelim Veterans 7-6 via the tie-breaker after the teams were locked 2-2 at full time. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Quepem Veterans defeated their rivals 5-4.
