PANJIM: Joel Gonsalves of ABS Gym, Chichinim was declared Champion of Champions of the “Khamini Shree 2016”, 3rd all-Goa body building championship organised by Khamini Fitness Gym in association with Goa Body Building and Fitness Association (GBBFA) at football ground, Savoiverem-Ponda, on Sunday.
Omkar Desai of ABS Gym, Chichinim claimed the most promising bodybuilder
while Rohit Naik of Norberts Gym, Panjim was awarded best poser.
The following are the other results: 55kg — 1st place Hamid Khan (ABS Gym, Chichinim), 2nd Kiran Acharya (Kings Gym, Margao), 3rd Rohit Naik (Norberts Gym, Panjim), 4th Ramdas Tari (Hardcorzz Gym, Marcela) and 5th Mitesh Gaude (Dattaprasad Gym, Tisk Usgao).
60kg: 1st Satish Kunkolkar (Norberts Gym, Panjim), 2nd Rendel Ferros (Pitbull Gym, St Cruz), 3rd Sarvar Khan (SAG Curchorem), 4th Suraj Kunkolkar (Pitbull Gym, St Cruz), 5th Rohit Pednekar (Norberts Gym, Panjim).

Earlier, chief guest Deepak Dhavlikar, minister for factories, inaugurated the event along with Sanjay Patil, president GBBFA; Anant Palkar, owner Khamini Fitness gym; Minu Gaude, sarpanch; Swati Palkar, Dy sarpanch; Satyawan Palkar, panch; Ganpat Naik, Chandan Naik and Manoj Phadte.
In his address, Dhavlikar informed that there is nothing more important than our good health and that should be our priority in today’s lifestyle. The foundation of success in life is good health. Bodybuilding sports promotes to keep the youth away from all the bad habits.
He promised to provide all the possible help to the bodybuilders and appealed to work hard and give their best.
The winners were awarded medals, trophies, certificates and cash. Judges and officials were Viraj Arabekar, Santosh Mapsekar, Satya Naik, Ravi Dessai, Mahendra Desai and Machindra Jalmi.
