GFDC took their opponents by surprise after going ahead in the very first minute through Rudresh Naik.
Within ten minutes, GFDC doubled their lead as Joybert placed the ball past the rival custodian from the penalty spot. Just before the lemon break, GFDC breached the opposition defence once again as Joybert slipped the ball into the back of the net.
Changing over, Joybert completed his hat-trick for GFDC. Aman stroked in a calm penalty kick and moments later fired in again to complete his brace.
In the U-16 league match, t Velsao ground, Sesa FA thrashed Velsao Pale Sports Club 5-1. Kunal Salgaocar opened the floodgates in the 10th minute after guiding a beautiful header off a flag-kick taken by Jewel Fernandes.
There was no looking back for the academy boys then onwards as they controlled the proceedings with swift moves.
Just after the half hour mark, medio Malcolm Gonsalves doubled the lead after giving finishing touches to a clever through pass from Asley Cardozo.
Changing over, Asley joined the party after skilfully dribbling past a couple rival defenders in the 46th minute. He was assisted by Glevito Miranda.

In the 79th minute, Velsao reduced the margin by a goal from Princeton Rebello.
Cavin Soares scored the fifth goal in the dying minutes.
