ZARME: The 73 young boys from the remote picturesque hilly area of Zarme, Valpoi donned the colours of Goa Football Development Council at the investiture ceremony of Zarme grass-root football centre, recently.
Chairman Dr Rufino Monteiro in his address congratulated the trainees on receiving football kits which will help them in their development and hope that this will boost them to perform well in the coming fourth edition of Vodafone-GFDC Rising Stars Football Festival.
He further extorted the trainees to study well in school as academics are also very important.
Dr Rufino also hailed the coaches Vaman Chari and Sameer Gawas for development of the trainees at Zarme centre whilst imploring them to register girl trainees from the area.
Also present were Glenn D’Silva, Executive Secretary, GFDC and Virendra Patil, vice president, Panchgram Vikas Samitee.
