PANJIM: Marc Caterers, Nuvem registered a solitary goal victory over Shiroda Veterans to emerge victorious in the final of the veterans football tournament, organized by Camorlim Rai, recently.
Remedios scored the only goal of the match, which was witnessed by an overwhelming crowd.
Shiroda Veterans did try hard to fight back in the final quarter but their forwards could not find the equalizer.
The trophy and cash prize of Rs 20,000 were awarded to Marc Caterers while the runner-up settled for Rs15,000. They received the prizes from MLA Reginald Lourenco in the presence of Hilda Silveira, Sarpanch of Camurlim and other dignitaries. Manuel Cardozo proposed the vote of thanks.
