SANGUEM: Miracles HS, Sanguem thrashed Government HS, Valkini by 105 runs to emerge champions of Sanguem Taluka under-14 President’s Cup cricket tournament organized by Goa Cricket Academy at GCA ground, Sanguem.
Miracles which participated for the first time in the tournament, batted first and scored a mammoth 161 in 20 overs. Akilesh Chowdhary top-scored with 53 runs followed by Dattaraj Naik 29 and Sachin 25.
In reply, Government HS were bowled out for a meager 56 in 12.5 overs. Ajit Gaonkar (11) was the highest scorer for Government HS. Sachin Singh and Pritam Gupta of Miracles claimed three wickets each.
