MAPUSA: Murod Boys scored a hard fought 1-0 win over Camotim to make their way into the semi-finals of the Friends Circle Candolim inter-ward football tournament, played at Candolim ground, on Tuesday.
In a well fought encounter it was Camotin who had the first crack at the rival goal when Alex Pereira’s well executed free-kick banged the Murod horizontal bar and went out of play.
At the other end, Murod’s Stephen Dias too was denied from scoring by the horizontal bar.
After several failed attempts Murod managed to break the deadlock when Canute De Souza set up Haresh Bhagkar who tapped the ball home, 1-0.
