MAPUSA: Nagoa Sports Club thrashed Siolim Sodiem 4-1 in a GFA Second Division football league match at Sangolda ground, Tuesday. The score was 1-1 at the breather.
Nagoa started positively and surged ahead in the third minute through Rakesh Kumar, who slotted past the rival goalkeeper with an adroit placement.
Stung by the setback, Siolim regrouped and equalized in the 22nd minute after Rupesh Madkar’s venomous shot hit the upright before entering the goal.
After resumption, Nagoa played to a plan and maintained good ball possession as Rakesh scored another two goals.
In the dying minutes, Sheikh Ali went solo to make it 4-1 for Nagoa.
