PANJIM: Navelim Sporting overcame Parish Youth, Nuvem 5-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of V Deluxe Lourdes Festival Cup 2013, organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda.
The match was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
The teams put up a pleasing display entertaining the fans with some exciting moves.
After Francis missed a sitter for Navelim with the goalkeeper at his mercy, his teammate Alvito Colaco made no mistake scoring a gem of a goal in the 17th minute.
Nuvem trooped in after the breather as more determined side and scored a deserving equalizer midway with Joy Colaco beating the rival keeper with a delectable header.
In the tie-breaker, Navelim scored through Aliston Colaco, Velinko Pereira, Buta Singh, Jerson Pereira while only Ivan Colaco and Richard Colaco could convert for Nuvem.
