MARGAO: Hosts Navelim Sporting Club shunted out Cuncolim Union 6-5 via the tie-breaker to march into the semi-finals of All-Goa 33rd Gold Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament, at Rosary ground, Navelim, Sunday.
Cuncolim Union took the leads trough Rosario Carvalho in the 10th minute but Navelim Sporting equalized through Allister Gomes in the 27th minute.
In the ensuing penalty shoot-out, Derrick Gomes, Jaison Pereira, Clinton Niasso, Alvirto Colaco and Wilton Gomes found the mark for Navelim Sporting Club while Treyson D’Costa, Nilesh Velip, Krishna Shirodkar and Clffton Fernandes converted for Cuncolim Union.
