MAPUSA: Assonora United Football Club thrashed Football Club Tuem 5-1 in GFA’s Third Division football league match, at Tivim ground, Monday.
Assonora opened the scoring in the fourth minute through Alex Fernandes but Tuem equalized through Stepelton Fernandes.
Assonora went ahead 2-1 just before the half time through Atish Gaonkar. Changing over, Assonora dictated terms and scored through a brace by Prajot Arabekar in the 75th and 77th minutes and Stanny scored the fifth goal to round off the tally.
Freddy Dias of Tuem was red carded for a dangerous tackle on a rival player.
