CHANDOR: Navelim Sporting Club convincingly defeated Goa Velha Sports Club 8-2 in the pre- quarters of the 47th Chandor Seamen Rolling trophy football tournament, at Chandor ground on Saturday.

The Goa Velha SC displayed some urgency at the beginning of the first session and opened their account through a power-packed shot by Vikrant Mangueshkar which just flipped past the Navelim custodian in the 14th minute.
Navelim’s Clinton Niasso equalised in the 26th minute. Just as Navelim begun to get their act together, Prasad struck in the 27th minute.
Changing sides, Goa Velha seemed to lose initial steam as the Navelim Boys sprayed into the rival net like bullets.
Clinton Niasso scored his brace in the 39th minute. Nevin Pereira scored in the 44th minute.
Preston Costa scored a quick brace in the 46th and 47th minutes.
Ronaldo Pereira scored a brace in the 55th and 63rd minutes to book Navelim’s entry in the quarter finals of the tournament.
