MAPUSA: Nerul SC managed to edge past PVC Parra Association by 3-2 margin to enter the semi-finals of Goveia Cup organised by YSC Colvale Club, at Colvale Church ground, on Tuesday.
In the 13th minute, Prajyot Shirodkar put Nerul SC ahead with an opportunistic strike, (0-1)
Thereafter, in the 21st minute, Siddharth Shirodkar scored with a screaming long ranger to double his team’s lead to 2-0.
Soon after the start of the second half, Nerul SC made it 3-0 with Siddharth Shirodkar finding the net.
PVC Parra fought gallantly and scored two goals through Waldron Martin and Floyd Pereira but it proved to be too late.
The player-of-the-match was awarded to Prajyot Shirodkar of Nerul SC by Marcel Mendes, YSC Colvale Club member.
Nerul SC now will play BAFF on December 21, in the second semi-final.
