Nerul SC showed they meant right from the word go wherein they shot into the lead in the very 1st minute of play when Prashant Naik sent the ball to Anson D’Souza inside the danger zone, who made no mistake to tap the ball past the stunned Holiday Club keeper Ritesh Nagvekar.
In the 15th minute of play, Aniket Agarwadekar collected the ball from Paul Cardozo and after dancing his way past the defenders, slotted the ball home, 2-0.
Four minutes later, Aniket netted in his brace, scoring a gem of a goal by dribbling past a host of defenders and drilling in a low grounder past the outstretched hands of the keeper, 3-0.
Crossing over, Holiday Club managed to reduce the margin in the 63rd minute of play when Saish Palekar beautifully curled his corner kick directly into the Nerul nets.
