MASHEM: Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya, Mashem won the U–14 girls baseball tournament after defeating Shantadurga High School, Bardez by 13–01 homes.
The tournament was organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Govt. Sports Complex, Ponda, recently.
In the first innings, Nirakar scored six homes while the Shantadurga managed to score one home. In the second inning, the Nirakar girls showed their best talent and scored seven homes. The Shantadurga girls were bundled out without scoring a home. The final scoring was 13-1 homes.
In the semi-final, Nirakar School defeated Murgao High School, Marmagao by 14–8 homes.
Khushi Naik, Bhumi Naik, Neeta Kharat, Siya Naik, & Palak Lolayekar contributed to Nirakar’s win.
