SIOLIM: Our Lady of Rosary High School, Dona Paula beat Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Arambol 1-0 in the North district final of the U-13 girls inter-school football tournament organised by GFDC, at Siolim church ground, recently.
The match-winner was scored by Maria Theresa Figueiredo in the 15th minute with a snap shot. Mount Carmel school tried their best to score the equaliser but Rosary defenders did a good job of keeping in clean slate as the goalkeeper Gresha Shirodkar came up with some good saves.
Individual prizes were awarded to Maria Theresa Figueiredo and Sara Hussien both of Rosary HS, Dona Paula who scored the match winner and best player of the final respectively.
