PANJIM: Panjim Footballers scored a goal each in either half to beat Vasco Sports Club 2-0 in the Goa Football Association U-20 Taca Goa League at Betalbatim panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
It was a close encounter but two good chances and two goals ensured Panjim full points. They first scored in the 19th minute through Maximo D’Costa.

Panjim played more of possession based football while Vasco SC relied on counters to attack.
Panjim led 1-0 at the break.
In the second half, it was a balanced affair as neither sides created much chances. However, Panjim scored their second deep in the stoppage time through Velington Almeida to make it 2-0.
