PANJIM: Prutha Parrikar is poised for a double crown, having entered into the junior girls and ladies singles finals, at the All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organised by BPS Sports Club, Margao under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA), at BPS Club premises, Margao.
In the title match, Prutha will face a stiff challenge of Mallika Gogoi in ladies singles while Sanisha Shetye will be her opponent in junior girls singles.
Prutha had a comfortable outing in junior girls semis, cruising past Najida Shaikh with a comfortable 3-0 score line. Sanisha prevailed to edge out her opponent in a close five sets battle. In Ladies semis, Mallika Gogoi lost a set en route to a 3-1 win over a fighting Janvi Naik Dalal. The other Ladies semis between Prutha Parrikar and Sanisha Shetye was a thrilling match.
