RAIA: Parish Youth Nuvem defeated Fr Agnelo YSC, Paroda, 5-4 via tie-breaker to move into the final of UCT Trophy 2024 – 9-a-side inter-village football tournament – organised by United Club of Telaulim at government primary school ground, Telaulim, on Saturday.
Both teams played a goalless draw at full time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Parish Youth Nuvem netted through Niclau Colaco, Inacio Colaco, Joywin Costa, Godfrey Mascarenhas and Drawin Colaco, while Fr Agnelo YSC scored through Milton fernandes, Clifton fernandes, Selwin Fernandes and Livon Clement
In second semi-final, Guardian Angel Sports Club edged past SCC Loutolim 9-8 via tie-breaker to enter the final. Both teams played an attacking football and got an equal opportunity to score but remained 1-1 draw at the full time.
Guardian Angel SC scored through Fedrich Fernandes, Cyril Dias, Godwin D’Costa, Preston Castanha, Granville Fernandes, Aliton Furtado, Godwin Fernandes, Milroy Clement, while SCC Loutolim netted through Flager Moraes, Alvito Fernandes, Aniston D’Silva, Samson Mascarenhas, Aryan Fernandes, Austin Fernandes and Hanson Cardozo.
The final will be played between PY Nuvem and Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem, on Sunday.
