CHINCHINIM: Quepem Veterans edged past Sucaldem Veterans 2-1 to move into the quarter finals of the 1st all Goa Veterans football tournament organised by Sucaldem Youth Club, at SYC ground, on Wednesday.
In the second minute, Sucaldem should have netted through Cruz Cabral but the latter’s shot wad palmed away to safety by the Quepem goalkeeper.

In the 14th minute, Sucaldem Veterans scored the first goal of the match through Jose Rebello arrow bound shot which was assisted by Cruz Cabral.
The second half was dominated by Quepem Veterans’ Elvis Fernandes netted a brace in the 50th and 56th minutes respectively. Both the goals were assisted by Luis Peixote.
Quepem Veterans will now play Vasco Veterans in the quarter-finals.
