SARZORA: Raia Sports Club thrashed Carmona Sports Club by fluent 4-0 margin to cruise into the quarter-finals of All-Goa Our Lady of Assumpta Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Sarzora Sports Club, at Sarzora ground, on Tuesday.
Raia SC opened the account through Joyston Barbosa in the 4th minute with a deaf placement after being assisted by Lyod Cardozo.
Five minutes on, Joyson Gauncar doubled the lead with a solo effort in the 25th minute. Valerio Fernandes missed a chance by whiskers for Carmona SC.
At half time, Raia Sports Club were leading 2-0.
Post resumption, Joyston made it 3-0 in the 46th minute. Four minutes later, Lyod sealed the fate of Carmona Sports Club by netting the fourth goal.
