MARGAO: Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim, Regina Martyrum HS Assolna, St Xavier’s HS, Velim, St Anthony’s HS, Majorda and Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim moved ahead in the U-17 Girls Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Zone football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, on Friday.
At Ambelim ground, Somaaya Mukundan scored double hat-trick in Rosary HSS’s 7-0 win over Auxilium HS, Benaulim. Fevina Costa scored the other goal. Regina Martyrum HS defated OL of Carmel HS, Curtorim 3-0. Clency Miranda scored brace while Pritty Kesarekar scored a goal for the winners.
Perpetual Convent beat Fatima Convent HS 2-0. Chelsea Crasto scored both the goals.
St Xavier’s HS scored 2-0 tie-breaker win over Infant Jesus HS, Colva.
After a barren full session, Valicy Correia and Welcina Fernandes shot on the target for Velim School.
St Anthony’s HS, Majorda also move ahead in the tournament with 3-2 tie-breaker win over Marina English HS, Verna.
Fiorita Baretto, Slanisha Carvalho and Racheall Coelho shot at the target for Majorda School while Veolla Da Gama and Gayatri Kambli scored for Marina School.
