SANQUELIM: Rossman Cruz, Nagoa, Verna defeated CDJ Ribandar 7-6 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of Late Musa Ali Aga football tournament organised by Eagle SC, at Sankhali Municipal ground, on Tuesday.
Rossman opened the score-line through Jesloy Moniz in the second minute. Vijal Rego doubled the lead for Rossman in the 28th minute and Wilson Fernandes made it 3-0 for Rossman in the 52nd minute.
CDJ Ribandar’s Minesh Kunkolikar netted in the 35th minute from the penalty spot while Salo Santos netted in the 52nd minute and Jayendra Kunkalkar scored in the 60th minute for Ribandar.
In the resultant tie-breaker Wilson Fernandes, Eusebio Fernandes, W Fernandes and Jesloy Moniz netted for Rossman Cruz and for CDJ Ribandar Gautam Dias, Rohan Shirodkar, Krishnanath Shirodkar were the scorers.
