NAVELIM: Varca Veterans defeated Nuvem Veterans by a solitary goal scored by Pele Fernandes in the SAI Veterans football tournament organised by SAI veterans Football Association, at Navelim ground, on Tuesday.
Nuvem’s Pobres Colaco, Miguel DSouza and Socorro Colaco missed chances in the 4th,6th and 8th minutes respectively.
Varca’s Alfred Fernandes’ curler failed to pop up into Nuvem net in the 54th minute.
Pele Fernandes scored the winner for Varca in the 56th minute when he was well assisted by Alfred Vaz after beating the defence and scored a beautiful goal giving no chance to the Nuvem goalkeeper.
