VELIM: Rossman Cruz, Verna defeated St Rock YC, Majorda 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the SWC Zaino Soccer All-Goa football tournament played at Zaino ground, Velim, Monday.
Rokson Fernandes opened the account for Rossman Cruz in the 50th minute while Mathew Colaco levelled 1-1 for St Rock YC in the dying minute of the second half. In the resultant tie-breaker, Rossman Cruz netted through Savio, Razor, Noel and Joshua while Llyod and Carlson scored for St Rock YC.
On Sunday, Navelim Villagers pipped Parish Youth Nuvem 1-0 to book a berth in semi-finals. Alvito Colaco scored the lone goal off a beautiful cross by Clinton Niasso in the dying minutes of the match.
