MAJORDA: Rossman Cruz Nagoa-Verna defeated Sao Jose de Areal 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Basilio Memorial football tournament, at Musson ground, Majorda, on Thursday.
Savio Fernandes of Rosmann netted the match-winner in the 20th minute.
Rossman led 1-0 at the break.
Crossing ends, Areal dominated the preceedings but failed to keep their composure on the field as they fumbled infront of the goal.
At the other end, Rossman held on to their slender 1-0 lead till the final whistle.
