CUNCOLIM: Rossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club, Verna defeated Parish Youth, Nuvem, 4-1 via tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the all-Goa Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament, at Government village school ground, Cuncolim, on Monday.
In the 4th minute, Beneston Fernandes of Rossman Cruz was unlucky to see his effort go off the target from close range.
With time running out, Parish Youth went all out as Myron Pereira smashed a powerful low drive which missed the target with just a minute left for final whistle.
In the tie-breaker, Wilred Fernandes, Razor Braganza, Vijal Rego and Beneston Baretto scored for Rossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club while Myron Pereira scored for Parish Youth.
