RUMBA-CURTORIM: Rumba United edged past Bandol Sports Club 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Rumba United Curtorim inter-ward football tournament, organised by Rumba United, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Tuesday.
In the first half, Meliston Rodrigues opened the score-line in the 12th minute for Rumba.
In the 19th minute, Carmo equalised for Bandol Sports Club.
In the 43rd minute Meliston Rodrigues came up with a flat cross to Sagar which was smartly converted into the winning goal for Rumba United to make it 2-1.
Bandol Sports Club tried their best to find the equalising goal but they couldn’t get past the strong rival defence.
