From the start Carmona SC were too cautious in the approach and it encouraged Sai Avatar SC to build up attacks through winger Rohan Kambli and Rama Parsekar using both the flanks.
Sai Avatar SC came close twice through striker Nitish Salgoanklar and Saprem Diukar but Carmona SC goalkeeper Mohamad Shaikh rescued his team with timely interceptions.
After resumption Sai Avatar SC broke the deadlock in the 45th minute through a set piece. Rohan Kambli floated in a corner kick inside the box, which was not cleared by the Carmona SC defence allowing the unmarked striker Saprem Dieukar to stab the ball past Mohammed Shaikh.
Carmona SC’s mid field was not functional and relied on long aerial balls to penetrate the rival defence but Sai Avatar SC stopper back and skipper Jesmon Carvalho was rock solid in the rear guard.
Sai Avatar SC finally made sure of the victory two minutes before the end when Carmona SC defense failed to clear a corner kick by Vinay Mulgaonkar and the ball fell nicely to medio Nyron Dias who made no mistake to send the ball at the back of the net with a left footed strike.
