RAIA: Sao Jose de Areal defeated Betalbatim SC, 1-0, and move in semifinals of the 22nd Bro Eulalio Vaz Memorial football tournament organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, at Don Bosco ground, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
The match started on promising note and Betalbatim had the first chance to score from the box but Manushawn missed the target by whiskers in the 10 minutes of the game. Later in the 18th minute, Areal Monty Valadares shoot was deflected to Oliver of Betalbatim and went for a corner. At half time both teams remained on 0-0 .

In the second half, Betalbatim’s Jesus Ferrao created two goals opportunity but Areal goalkeeper Joseph Monteiro denied to score.
Meanwhile Areal’s Raymon, Ashnoy and Alister created a move which paid dividend and Alister’s powerful shoot crushed into the net in the 35th minutes and take game away from the Betalbatim.
