PANJIM: Sao Jose de Areal SC edged past Parish Youth Nuvem 7-6 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarters of the 34th Gold Silver Rolling Trophy Football tournament, organized by Navelim Sporting Club, at Navelim ground, on Monday.
After a barren first session, SJ de Areal broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute through Raymond Fernandes but Nuvem equalized in the 45th minute through Shubert Pinto’s grounder.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, SJ de Areal scored through Aggie, David, Aliston, Monty, Costy and Mario while Nuvem scored through Shubert, Ryan, Mackly, Roger and Christo Colaco.
