MAPUSA: Semson Fernandes’ brace enabled FC Tuem register a 2-1 win over Dunes SC in the GFA’s Second Division League match played at Guirim ground, on Sunday.
Dunes SC colts were indeed a better side but in the first session Pranesh Asvenkar and Sahil Shetgaonkar missed series of scoring chances.

At the other end, FC Tuem’s skipper medio Charles Miranda supplied some balls to Semson and Rashabh Karapurkar upfront but both failed to score. The best chance for FC Tuem came in the 44th minute but Semson’s strike rebounded off the crossbar.
On crossing over, in the 57th minute, Anthony Lobo guided the ball into the FC Tuem’s goal off a cross by Vivek Naik 1-0.
Trailing by a goal, FC Tuem colts time and again attacked the rival citadel but Roque Borges header off Elroy Baretto’s cross travelled just past the goal post while a minute later Semson rasping shot kissed the upright. However, finally in the 85th minute, Semson netted the equaliser getting hold of a ball inside the penalty box, to make it 1-1.
In the added time, William Niasso moved upfront from the right flank and sent a deadly cross which Semson tapped into the goal 2-1.
