PANJIM: SFX Boys, Borim advanced into the next round of Siridao Soccer Cup 2013 defeating Mount Mary Boys, Verna 3-2, organised by Siridao Boys, at River Plate Siridao Sports Club ground, Siridao, Wednesday.
In the first half, both the teams played well but failed to convert into goals as their forwards shot wide.
Crossing over, SFX Boys had the first look at the rival goal in the 10th minute to take the lead and in the 14th minute doubled the tally.
Mount Mary Boys regrouped immediately and scored in the 16th and 20th minutes to come on equal terms.
SFX Boys being worried about the equaliser took the control of the game with short passes and went on thrusting Mount Mary’s defence time and again and in the dying minutes got the much needed goal to come out victorious.
