Siolim opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Sanket Jotkar got hold of the ball inside the danger zone and made no mistake to tap it in for the opener.
Hardly had the cheers died down, Xetrapal came with a
quick equalizer when Sherwin Lobo set up Sagar Bhathkande who on seeing the keeper off his line lobbed the over into the empty net.
On resumption, it was Siolim who called the shots, pinning Xetrapal in their own half. They came with three quick goals at regular intervals where first, Sanket on collecting the ball from
Jolief Simoes fired the ball home to take his side into the lead, and them Anselm D’Souza came off the bench to fire in a brace.
Siolim came twice close to further inflating their lead however Lloyed Mascarenhas and Joelief Simoes saw their efforts ricochet off the Xetrapal horizontal bar.
In the 82nd minute, Sagar managed to reduce the margin for Xetrapal from a solo effort.
